Luka Dončić continues to set the NBA alight with his extraordinary performances on the court. The 24-year-old from Serbia has a meticulous, floor general playing style that has led to 4 x All NBA First Team selections in his first five years in the National Basketball Association. Despite not sharing the same athleticism and bounce as the majority of the league’s individuals, Luka has always found a way of making the correct play - whether it’s getting buckets himself or assisting his Dallas teammates.
The Jordan Luka 2 is built for creating space on the court, highlighting Luka Dončić’s crafty game and his uncanny talent for creating separation.
The shoe, which has been slightly scaled up from the low-cut Jordan Luka 1, is once again equipped with the same combination of IsoPlate support and Formula23 cushioning.
However, the Jordan Luka 2’s sole unit has been renovated to maximise the multidirectional movements that Luka possesses, including his crossovers and step back moves that have become unguardable even for the league’s best defenders.
The Formula23 foam rests directly underneath the foot, with a firm foam carrier surrounding. The medial side possesses a soft foam wedge that helps the foot sink in slightly allowing a more explosive step.
Finally, the modernised version of the IsoPlate raises the lateral sidewall against the carrier foam to help maintain balance for the individual as they travel across on the court.
As the Jordan Brand’s technology and specifics continue to improve, Luka Dončić is expected to make a comparative leap on the court in the 2023/24 season, as he aims to guide his Dallas Mavericks organisation to a second franchise championship.
